Staff at the RSSCSE worked with colleagues at Concept2 in order to collect real data from schools and school-age learners that use its rowing machine. RowingAtSchool is part of the larger SportAtSchool project form the RSSCSE.
RowingAtSchool
The Royal Statistical Society Centre for Statistical Education, home of the international CensusAtSchool project, teams up with Concept2, supplier of the world’s leading indoor rowing machine!
Staff at the RSSCSE are working with colleagues at Concept2 in order to create continuing professional development (CPD) material, learning and teaching cross-curricular resources by collecting real data from schools and school-age learners that use its rowing machine.
As well as providing exclusive access to a national database of rowing measurements, from which registered schools are able to take samples, a wide range of learning and teaching resources are being created for use in subjects across the national curriculum.
Indoor rowing activities are inclusive and suitable for pupils of all ages, shapes and sizes. They can improve the health, wellbeing and fitness of pupils and teachers.
