Plus magazine invites secondary school and university students to write and submit an article on any mathematical topic they choose. This could be a mathematical idea or concept, an application of maths, a historical topic, the story of a mathematician, or a mathematical controversy.
The competition has separate categories for university and secondary school students. The closing date is March 31st 2009, and more information on the competition can be found on the Plus site, http://plus.maths.org/competition. The winning entries will be read by an international audience of over a hundred thousand in the June 2009 issue of Plus.
